Air Fryer Meat Cooking Times: The Complete Chart

The air fryer has quietly become the handiest bit of kit in the kitchen for cooking meat, quick, no messy hob, and brilliantly crispy. Here's a go-to chart of times and temperatures for the cuts we sell most. Times are a guide, so check thicker pieces are cooked through before serving.

Chicken

  • Chicken breast — 180°C for 12 to 15 minutes, turning halfway
  • Chicken thighs (bone-in) — 180°C for 18 to 22 minutes
  • Chicken drumsticks — 180°C for 20 to 25 minutes
  • Chicken wings — 190°C for 16 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket

Beef

  • Steak (2cm) — 200°C for 8 to 12 minutes depending on how you like it, turning halfway
  • Burgers — 180°C for 10 to 12 minutes

Pork

  • Gammon steak — 180°C for 10 to 12 minutes, turning halfway
  • Pork chops — 190°C for 12 to 15 minutes
  • Sausages — 180°C for 12 to 15 minutes, turning

A few golden rules

  • Don't overcrowd the basket. Air needs to move around the meat, so cook in batches if you have to.
  • Preheat for a couple of minutes for the best sear.
  • Check with a thermometer for anything thick: chicken to 74°C, pork to 71°C, beef to your preferred doneness.
  • Pat meat dry before it goes in for crispier results.
